I Graduated! Now what?

As of reading this, it has been a little over one month since I graduated from college.
I have taken this month for myself to really take a break; I did not know I needed to. Waking up and not having to stress about assignments or dealing with that unbearable professor was liberating. I had free time to indulge in my hobbies, and believe me, I have a lot of hobbies.
I got to work on some crochet projects and DIY projects. Catch up on a few video games I did not have the time to play, and watch that TV show or movie I have been telling myself to watch for the longest time. I have not completely neglected the fact that I need to look for a job, and have been applying when openings present themselves, but I have been going with the motions.
But that plan will change come today. Today my blog page is live; I will have a video up on social media, and mark my social media and blog journey as well as getting serious about this job hunt (even though this job market is terrible).
Thankfully, I have a part-time job that I enjoy to get me by and still have time to get this off the ground.
But the real question that circles in my head after graduation is what now? To be honest, I do not know, and that's okay.
If you had asked me that after high school graduation, I would be panicking internally. I felt like I had to have an answer or a plan. I still like to have a plan for my future, but it is not as scary to me now.
Maybe it is because I matured, because I found my interest in a possible career thanks to going to college. Or maybe because my future will have me in a new state by the end of the year. Whatever comes my way, I will adapt and find my footing along the way. If I let the fear of the unknown take that away from me I will not enjoy the time I have to find myself.
Not to sound like a broken record but to any one that is reading this and needs to hear this from someone in a similar situation; it really is okay. It is okay to not have everything figured out right away, it's okay to not have a plan.
The best advice I gave myself is to use the skills you have and put them towards something that could reflect what your future career could look like. In my case, with a journalism degree, I started this blog and am looking for jobs as a copy editor since that was the last internship I did.
Just take that one day at a time and everything will fall into place. Do not stress about getting stuff figured out right away, take your time, that might be what you, me or any of us really need. Just a little bit of time to breathe, properly think it out and not be pressured by outside sources.
But that's just me!
Thanks for reading,
MD <3
